About ports2010

The Stockton Ports are the Class A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics, and 11-time champions of the California Leauge. The Stockton Ports are a founding member of the California League, and are embarking on their 61st season in the League in 2010. Entering into the 2010 campaign, the Ports have a 4,400-3,944 overall record (.527). Baseball has been played in Stockton, Calif. since the 1880s, and baseball legend holds that it was a Stockton baseball team, playing in a riverfront area known as "Mudville," that inspired Ernest Lawrence Thayer to write "Casey at the Bat."
